I read Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr for my summer reading. My first choice of research topic is about teen pregnancy. This would be people arguing if teens are ready for this and if they should do adoption and how to prevent it.

My second research topic is abstinence.  Some people agree, some people don’t. It would argue that we all have a choice but staying abstinent is everyones different opinion.

English Paragraph #2

Can't Get There from Here by Todd Strasser is about homeless teenagers living on there own. The Rules of Survival by Nancy Werlin is about a boy starting from a very young age trying to save himself and his siblings from an physically abusive mother. The book I read was Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr which is about a girl who was caught by her father having a sexual relationship with an older boy. All of these books have things similar and different to one another. The Similarities in all these books are that they all involve teenagers struggling in their lives. All the charecters face problems emotionally. The Rules of Survival and Story of a girl both deal with teenage and parent relationships. Overall, my book was good and taught me that your past doesn’t effect your future.
